On September 1, 2005 we introduced the original TOUR360, a shoe known for its bold color and revolutionary technology, setting a new standard by which all performance golf shoes are measured. The defining feature of this pioneering shoe introduced 360WRAP technology, which created an independent forefoot and heel, delivering exception support on the golf course. Along with superior support, the TOUR360 brought premium comfort through its 3D fitfoam sockliner, a revolutionary sockliner with three different densities of foam cushioning.
Worn by the likes of Jim Furyk, Will Mackenzie, and Sergio Garcia the shoe notched its first PGA TOUR win on May 7th, 2006 when Jim Furyk won the Wachovia Championship in a playoff victory over South Africa’s Trevor Immelman. With TOUR360s on his feet, Jim Furyk put together a sensational 2006 season, winning the PGA of America’s Vardon Trophy for the lowest scoring average. Furyk also defended his 2006 Canadian Open victory, winning in 2007 with TOUR360s on his feet, helping him become the first golfer to defend the title since 1950-1951. The original TOUR360 also helped propel the European team to the 36th Ryder Cup title, as Sergio Garcia led the way with a team leading four wins.
On April 1, 2007 the TOUR360 II was released, an update to the original TOUR360 which was already making noise on Tour and across the globe. The TOUR360 II featured a redesigned, more flexible 360WRAP, improving stability throughout the swing. A new TPU outsole added further flexibility and secondary traction, paired with a new DTAC (dynamic traction anti-clogging cleats) system featuring lower profile, turf-friendly cleats. The updated outsole and DTAC cleat system delivered improved grip, comfort, and durability, while also reducing spike marks.
The TOUR360 II was worn by Jim Furyk, Sergio Garcia, Sean O’Hair, Steve Flesch, and Mike Weir, among others, as the new franchise continued to gain popularity and prove itself with another three PGA TOUR victories during the 2007 season.
On September 1, 2008 we again raised the bar by introducing the TOUR360 3.0, featuring a 3D molded heel counter and new, lower-profile thintech outsole. Equipped with 10 cleats for optimal traction, the new thintech TPU outsole also featured a powerband chassis™, providing improved lateral stability during the swing. With the combination of the 3D molded 360WRAP, an external heel counter, and thintech outsole technology, the TOUR360 3.0 delivered unmatched stability, fit, and feel.
Just days after the shoe’s release, Jim Furyk, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, and others sported TOUR360s as Team USA defeated Europe in the 37th Ryder Cup at Valhalla Golf Club. The US victory halted a streak of three consecutive loses to the Europeans, and was their largest margin of victory since 1981. The TOUR360 3.0 won six times on the PGA TOUR during the 2009 season, including Retief Goosen’s win at the Transitions Championship, and most notably Y.E. Yang’s victory at the 91st PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club. Yang began the day in the final pairing, two strokes behind the leader, but after chipping in for eagle on the 14th hole and taking the lead, Yang never looked back, and sealed his first major championship victory.
On November 1, 2008, just two months after releasing the TOUR360 3.0, we introduced the TOUR360 LTD, a refined, hand finished leather offering in the 360 family. The TOUR360 LTD featured the same thintech low-profile outsole technology, plus a mono-tongue construction for a better fit and superior comfort. The TOUR360 LTD’s upper was built from hand finished, premium, full grain leather which gave this model an exception high-quality look and feel. This shoe quickly became popular on Tour, worn by Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, and Jason Day.
The TOUR360 LTD was largely successful on Tour with 10+ wins including the 1st career wins for Dustin Johnson and Jason Day. The TOUR360 LTD heated up in the Summer of 2008, beginning an impressive streak, winning three Tour events in seven weeks including The Memorial, The Buick Open, and the John Deere Classic. Most notably, Sergio Garcia sported the TOUR360 LTD during his 2008 Player’s Championship victory, winning the first playoff hole to capture his 7th career PGA TOUR victory, and most prominent win of his career.
On November 1, 2009 we launched the TOUR360 4.0, the next advancement for the historic 360 franchise. The TOUR360 4.0 raised the bar to new heights by connecting the 360WRAP to the heel counter and the outsole, creating a uni-body, one-piece chassis system for unmatched, superior stability. In addition, the thintech outsole featured a new PINS cleat system reducing spike height by 30%, furthering lowering the foot closer to the ground. The TOUR360 4.0 also featured a temperature regulated lining for additional comfort through the shoe. The TOUR360 4.0 brought better power, balance, and stability to golf footwear, allowing for improved overall footwork.
The TOUR360 4.0 won during its debut at the 2009 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, carrying Martin Laird to his first career PGA TOUR victory. During the 2010 Ryder Cup, the TOUR360 4.0 was worn by Dustin Johnson, Eduardo Molinari, and Martin Kaymer, representing both the USA and European teams at the 38th playing of the bi-annual event. Sean O’Hair also rode the TOUR360 4.0’s to victory during the 2011 RBC Canadian Open.
The next innovation in the TOUR360 franchise was introduced on October 1, 2011. The TOUR360 ATV featured a ground adapting ATV outsole, utilizing unrivaled forefoot flexibility and zonal traction elements to provide All-Terrain Versatility, comfort, and grip that adapted to any surface, lie or angle.
The TOUR360 franchise secured its first FedEx Cup Playoff victory in 2011 when Dustin Johnson won The Barclays Championship wearing the TOUR360 ATV, propelling him to #4 in the Official World Golf Rankings. The TOUR360 ATV won on Tour with Dustin Johnson’s win at the 2012 FedEx St. Jude Classic, and the shoe again represented both the USA and Europe teams at the 2012 Ryder Cup on the feet of Peter Hanson, Dustin Johnson, and USA Captain Davis Love III. Dustin Johnson also turned back the clock and sported the TOUR360 ATV at the 2015 President’s Cup as the USA defeated the International team 15.5-14.5 at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in Incheon, South Korea.
TOUR360 ATV M1
The TOUR360 franchise released its latest innovations on February 1, 2013 with the release of the TOUR360 ATV M1. The TOUR360 ATV M1, again lowered the outsole to new levels, adding even more stability and traction. Most notably, the shoe featured an ultra-lightweight microfiber upper and cloudfoam sockliner to reduce the weight by up to 20% over previous models. Dustin Johnson continued to stack up wins for the TOUR360 franchise winning the WGC-HSBC Champions Tournament, and most recently, Nick Taylor and Fabian Gomez achieved their first career PGA TOUR victories wearing the TOUR360 ATV M1 during the 2014-2015 season.
