RocketBladez Max Irons

Max Technology and the Speed Pocket Makes this our Longest Iron Ever.
We’ve poured every bit of distance-enhancing know-how we’ve got into RocketBladez Max irons to create a club that’s effortless to launch high, long and straight. The 4- through 7-iron feature hollow-head, metalwood construction, and sophisticated new ultra-thin clubface design to promote faster ball speed, more forgiveness, higher launch, longer carry and a steeper approach angle.
The Speed Pocket is incorporated into the 4-iron through AW to promote more ball speed, especially on mis-hits low on the face. The Inverted Cone expands the area of the clubface that delivers high ball speed, and the new, ultra-thin face design reduces directional dispersion to promote improved accuracy.
The hollow construction of RocketBladez Max irons allows us to use an ultra-strong, ultra-fast 455 stainless face material, and to create an ultra-low CG location and exceptionally high MOI, all of which makes these irons remarkably forgiving and easy to launch on a high, distance-enhancing flight. The tungsten weight in the toe ensures the CG is predictably centered between the toe and the heel – an undervalued benefit because impact with that point results in maximum energy transfer to the ball to promote maximum distance.
All of the technology and knowledge that TaylorMade has regarding how to make an iron go far is what makes the RocketBladez Max the longest iron we’ve ever created.
- RBZ Speed Pocket in the 4-iron through AW works with an advanced ultra-thin face design and improved Inverted Cone shape to promote consistently high ball speed and distance on center and off-center hits, especially low on the face.
- Hollow head construction inspired by our metalwoods (4- through 7-irons) with substantial toplines, broad soles, superior perimeter-weighting, ultra-low CG and an ultra-fast 455 stainless-steel face for effortless launch and excellent distance.
- Visible tungsten weights in the toe pulls the CG into exact center of the face to ensure that center-face impact delivers maximum ball speed and distance.
- Fantastic feel promoted by a specially formulated polyurethane developed by 3M that fills the Speed Pocket, keeping debris out, and which quiets vibration without significantly slowing/inhibiting the flex of the pocket.

Tried these at the Golfsmith store in Portland, OR, along with clubs from four other manufacturers. The Rocketbalz felt great during the fitting, consistently 8 or more yards longer with less dispersion. I didn't believe the yardage on the launch monitor. Well, on the course, I am two clubs longer than my old Pings! The ball literally jumps off the club face with a boring trajectory that made my jaw drop, even drew praise from my partner (harder than pulling teeth).
Don't think there would ever be a reason these would ever leave my bag, went with the 5-PW and 3-4 Hybrids. Just can't say enough good things about these clubs!

I have to say I have never hit a more forgiving game improvement iron. Taylor Made put everything into this iron. My usual distance on a 7 iron is about 150 yards. I was hitting range balls 165 with no real effort. The feel is outstanding on all the irons. I even felt confident with the 4 iron and you put a nice easy swing on it and it goes forever. Now I am not a fan of graphite shafts in irons but I have to say these shafts give feedback similar to steel and get the ball up quick with a high launch. I even love the grips which are different than any other TM club. This is just the best super game improvement iron I have ever played and the best part is the irons look normal not like may of those clunky super game improvement irons you see everywhere. If you want a forgiving iron that gives great distance you owe it to yourself to try these out. I am simply blown away with all the technology and what it has accomplished in this iron.

Taylormade's Game Improvement clubs just keep getting better and better. I took up the game with the CGB irons just a few years ago. Last season I bought the RBZ Max irons. And now these babies are the absolute best. Great feel, great solid sound and the best ball flight and distance to date. These clubs are making me a better golfer. I think the cavities are filled with flubber. Go hit these today!!
