I learned the game of golf playing with blade irons, and for many years blades are all I would consider using. I had tried many cavity back irons but found them to feel hollow and weak at impact. I finally gave in and purchased a set of Taylormade R11 irons (4-AW + SW), and I am very impressed. They have the feel and sound of my old blades, solid contact and cutting power through impact, but with a bit of forgiveness on off center shots. I find my accuracy to have improved, with a slight increase in distance. The KBS 90 stiff shafts are fantastic in every way with just the right amount of flex, in combination with the heads produces a high lofted shot that doesn't roll quite so much. Around the green the wedges are better than any I have used . Wedge shots have lots of backspin, and it is easy to control where the ball will land and stop on the green. I find more and more of my greenside chips and pitches resting within 3 feet of the hole, whereas with my old irons typically could get within 4-6 feet!!! Overall I would recommend these to anyone who wants a fantastic professional grade set of irons, even the blade connoisseurs out there......Give them a try....R11 will not let you down!!

I got fitted for the R11 irons at the Taylormade Performance Lab in Utah, and all I can say is wow! I recommend getting fitted, mine are 1/2 inch short, and 2 degrees flat with the NIppin NS Pro 950 stiff shaft. I have never hit more greens. Perform well from all lies, and the set up is appealing to even lower handicap golfers. Great club for all golfers! You gotta have them!

These clubs produce a brilliant high trajectory shot with great settle. The feel is very reminiscent of a forged club. Balance is exceptional and the KSB regular shafts handle my 105mph (driver) swing speed. Each club is VERY long (without trying!) with the only negative being the gap that then leaves at the more lofted end of the club range. Purchasers may need to rearrange their gap wedge selection. These clubs WILL produce the best shots you have ever hit - they have for me. I have had no quality issues.
I unhesitatingly recommend these especially for aging players losing power. These truly do for irons what the R11 has done for woods. Not an advert - just my experience. Oh ... and get a lesson from a pro!

Purchased clubs thru Club Fix. Heads keep coming loose and Club Fix has blamed it on Taylormade becuase the hosel is too large. I have returned every club in bag to be re-attached at least once on several multiple times on four separate occassions. I have played at least 8-10 rounds with at least one or more club heads loose. Taylormade has not made good on faulty product that Club Fix no longer carries.

A perfect example of all the work done by taylor made golf R&D ! these clubs are the best club that i have held in my hand and have such great feel and great to look down on at Adress and the weight of the club makes it very easy to put a nice even tempo swing down on to the taylor made penta 5 golf ball the two together have helped lower my handi cap and i think that next year it will go even lower, taylor made has proven to me that they have the best equipment out there and is the best for everyone that plays from 0 handicap to what ever you are and look great in the club house to.

The R11's added yardage to every iron shot, especially the long irons. these clubs are well balanced and have a very forgiving sweet spot.
