R1 TP Driver

One Driver that tunes to any loft, any look and any flight.
To get every potential yard out of your driver you need to achieve the precise combination of launch angle and spin-rate that promotes maximum carry and roll. Yet swing characteristics vary from player to player. R1 allows you to tune three key clubhead parameters so you can customize the club to your swing characteristics to create the launch conditions that promote maximum distance.
With R1 you can 1) Choose from five Face-Angle positions so you can achieve the look you want at address and to help you square the face to the ball at impact.2) Choose from 12 Loft-Sleeve settings between 8° and 12°. 3) Choose from two ways to position the movable Shot-Shape weights to promote a straight flight or a distance-enhancing draw.
We made a point to provide a wide range of loft options, because our analysis of thousands of clubfittings at our MAT-T (Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade) revealed that 80% of golfers are playing a driver with the wrong loft for their swing, at the expense of distance.
The white, glare-resistant crown features a unique black, orange and gray decal designed to make it easier to frame the ball opposite the center of the clubface, and easier to detect exactly how the clubhead is aimed to give you confidence that the face is aligned exactly the way you want it before you start your takeaway.
- One driver model that can be tuned to fit Tour pros and amateurs alike.
- 7 standard and 5 upright loft options between 8° and 12° (±2°) to obtain optimal launch angle.
- 7 face angle options: N/square, open, medium-open, maximum-open, closed, medium-closed, maximum-closed.
- Shot-shaping movable weights promote a neutral/straight flight or a distance-enhancing draw.
- Thick-thin crown provides lower and more-forward CG location promoting high launch, fast ball speed and low spin.
- Inverted Cone Technology milled into the inner side of the clubface expands the portion of the face that delivers high ball speed.
- Black clubface, non-glare white crown and new gray/orange/black crown graphic together promote easy alignment.
- Improved aerodynamics reduce drag over the head to promote faster clubhead speed.

The R1 is a amazing driver. I would recommend it to any golfer that is serious about the game. You should look into getting a nicer shaft then the stock shaft. The stock shaft is a great shaft, but i got a different one and i can work the ball and hit it so much further than my old driver. Over all this driver is fantastic and you should keep it in your choices when deciding on a driver.

This is a great driver! i love the adjustability of this driver. I have been hitting it on the range and "tinkering" with what is the best setting. It is great to get feedback and adjust according. Now that I have the settings dialed in, I have been bombing this driver down the fairway!

First off: Hats off to the entire TM staff. Admitingly, all throughout college golf (now a senior) I have been a muscleback, no white-clubs, enthusiast. Swearing-off all claims of technology and labeling it "obnoxious". This was until I got ahold of one of these bad boys in late Dec. There is simply no denying that golf is changing and TM is certainly in the driver seat. ( I included being a muscleback guy because I will sing equal, if not greater praises for the RockeBladez Tour irons). KEEP IT UP!
