I honestly don't know what to say other than... wow! I got a driver fitting done so I could adjust the loft & face angle to prime settings for me (10 degrees, 2 degrees closed) & never hit a ball with the R1 before I played my first round with it, other than the ones on the simulator. my first swing, I striped it 297 yards. every shot with the R1 was over 280 except for one - I was trying to swing as fast as I could, hit it off the toe, & it still went about 240. I was lucky to get 260-270 once or twice a round previously & I almost get that on a complete mis-hit? ridiculous. it almost feels like I'm cheating using the R1. I don't know what new technology TM is going to come out with in the future but this club is light years ahead of the competition. best golf purchase I've ever made!

It almost seems that when i hit this driver, the ball doesn't want to stop going. I have hit my longest drive in competition with this driver and it was like 329 yards, I'm 14 years old, the driver helps me so much.

I upgraded from an R7 Draw driver to the R1 and increased my distance by about a min. of 10 meters. The club has a more powerful feel than the R7. The setting adjustments are great but the advice from my Pro was not to keep tinkering with them according to how who just played on a particular round to correct any bad shots for the next round. Remember the club will only do what it is meant to do if you put a good swing on it.

Being an old guy -- 67 -- I was hitting my usual 9.5 deg Adams driver about 210 yards, which I thought was great. Then someone who joined our group suggested that I try out his new TaylorMade R1 driver. I thought, "why not?". Long story short, I hit my drive 250, then on the next hole 275. Both straight. All 5 ft 6, 140 lb of me ended up hitting it 280 on the 3rd hole, and never went back to my Adams. A couple of holes later my golf partners suggested that I hit last so that I wouldn't hit into the group ahead of us. You made an old guy extremely happy!!

Bought this driver 2 weeks ago, spent time at the range to fine tune it. Once I did OMG hitting it 20 yards further than my R11S and straighter too. Have brought my fairways hits from 20% to 55% in 5 rounds. The added yardage has let me use at least one to two clubs lees hitting to the green. Oh by the way being closer to the green has also brought up my greens-in -regulation up also, which means lower scores and handicap. Thanks TM and keep it up.

I've used this club multiple times and it's flawless. I love the flex loft. It's helped my game tremendously. My drive has increased over 50 yards from my old driver to the R1. Taylormade really did it this time!!

My R1 is longer and straigher then any other driver I've owened. I took it straight to the first tee with no warm up and on the second swing I drove it 298 yards then 285 into the wind on the next hole. That's 20 to 30 yards past my old driver. One one thing I noticed staight away is the ball seems to stay in the air forever. The driver has a nice look when you stand over it. All in all this is a great driver.

I have owned so many drivers and have never written a review. I have always been a Burner fan because of the lighter longer shaft but decided to try this simply because I could have a neutral face angle, most other drivers usually come with a closed face leading to a draw which I did not need. The driver arrived and the first day I played with it it seemed to heavy and stiff for me but as I got used to it I found some of the distance I had lost and hit every fairway every time. I was impressed, well done TM.

Love the distance, love the sound, love the look.

My weekend partner and I used to be pretty close off the tee. I say "used to be". First time out with this baby and I was 20+ yds past him.

This is the one you looking for a long time, but never ever use before.
First saw on Farmers Insurance Open 2013, that is great, and Now I get mine, easy to make be myselves, Sound for hitting is more nicer then R11s.
